Now Opera not only opens the login page properly (the first time) but it also allows all the other CIP functions from the browser and the VMRC links work flawlessly now too. I didn't have to reinstall the Client Integration Plugin but I did have to reinstall the VMware Remote Console (VMRC) to get it to work with Firefox.well that fixed all the issues I had with Opera originally. Opera is the best browser (for me) to use with the VMware Web Client. They pushed us to the Web Client (which isn't horrible by any means in 6.0) but they should then support it completely on the browsers they list that are compatible. It isn't a reasonable answer to put in their KB to go back to using the vCenter Client. Still on Windows 7 Pro 圆4.Įdit: I've just created a case with VMware and will be calling them shortly on it so that I can hopefully find an answer to this issue. S.Lee I haven't installed Windows 10 at work yet so I don't have the Edge browser. (Except, of course, the VMware Update Manager which requires the thick client.still.) I can't manage my VMware environment with any other browser and Chrome worked just beautifully without having to do all this other crap to get it to work until the 42 and up versions where you had to enable NPAPI and now just 45 breaks everything.ĭoes anyone have any advice on how to get this working 100% within one browser and not have to co-exist with thick client and 2 browsers to get complete functionality back. I've tried the certificate remove and re-add for CIP in intermediate trusts and ensured the functions were all checked that needed to be. You can get it to come up but the mouse cursor is like the old RILO boards from HP where it isn't pointing in the right spot
